A medication list can look complete and still contain small errors that make a follow-up visit harder to use. Before your appointment, compare the list with what you actually take.
Check the basics
Verify the medication name, strength, how often you take it, and whether anything has been stopped or added since your last visit. Include over-the-counter medicines and supplements if your provider asks for them.
Note questions separately
If you have concerns about side effects, timing, refills, or whether a medication still belongs on the list, write those questions down rather than changing the plan on your own.
Bring the updated list
A short, accurate list can help the visit stay focused on what has changed and what needs to be reviewed next.
